–A Burt teen was uninjured after her car left the roadway and ended up on its side near Smith Lake over the weekend.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Jasmyne Harrison of Burt was northbound on HWY 169, approaching the intersection with County Road B30 around 9:30 PM Sunday.
As she approached the intersection near Smith Lake, Harrison lost control of the 2004 Jeep Liberty she was driving and entered the east ditch. The Jeep ended the ditch, it overturned and came to rest on the NE side of the intersection.
The accident report states that Harrison was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, and did not sustain any injuries.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
