–With the city and school elections coming on November 2nd, a couple of important deadlines are approaching for area voters.
According to the Kossuth County Auditor’s Office, absentee ballots are now available. You can vote in person at the Auditor’s Office up until 4 PM on Monday, November 1st.
You can request an absentee ballot be mailed to you, but the deadline for that request is Monday, October 18th. Request forms are available at the Auditor’s Office or online at www.kossuthcounty.iowa.gov. The last day to pre-register to vote for this election is also Monday, October 18th at 5 PM.
On Tuesday, November 2nd, the polls will be open from 7 AM until 8 PM at the following locations:
Precinct #1 (Eagle, Grant, Harrison, Swea)—First Baptist Church, Swea City
Precinct #2 (Hebron, Ledyard, Lincoln, Springfield)—Eagle Center, Lakota
Precinct #3 (Greenwood, Seneca)—Summit Center, Bancroft
Precinct #4 (German, Ramsey)—Summit Center, Bancroft
Precinct #5 (Burt, Fenton, Union)—Burt Activity Complex
Precinct #6 (Buffalo, Portland)—Buffalo Creek Activity Center, Titonka
Precinct #7 (Lotts Creek)—Whittemore Fire Station
Precinct #8 (Union)—Kossuth County Election Center
Precinct #9 (Plum Creek)—Kossuth County Election Center
Precinct #10 (Irvington, Plum Creek)—Columbia Events Center, Algona
Precinct #11 (Prairie, Wesley)—Wesley Community Center
