–Anyone who would like to get to see a Bald Eagle up close can attend a special program this evening at the Water’s Edge Nature Center. Kossuth County Naturalist Billie Willie tells KLGA News that they will once again be hosting representatives from the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Minnesota.
Willie says the Eagle population in Iowa has rebounded tremendously from where it was in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
The program begins at 5:30 PM at the Nature Center, but Willie suggests getting there early as they do fill up quickly for events like this. The program is free and open to the public, and it is suitable for children of any age. If you have any questions, contact the nature center at 515-295-2138.
