Vitzthum Named President at Iowa State Bank

–Iowa State Bank announced Thursday that longtime Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President Laurie Vitzthum has been named President and CEO, effective August 2nd.

According to a news release, Vitzthum will lead the $400 Million community bank with its 51 employees in Algona, Corwith, Ruthven and Wesley. Vitzthum has served as the CFO since 2002 and has been with Iowa State Bank since 1990.

Vitzthum holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and holds a degree from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business.

Vitzthum and her husband Rod have three adult children and two grandchildren.
