First Congregational United Church of Christ has suspended in-person worship for the foreseeable future. The worship service may be accessed on their website (algucc.org) or heard on KLGA radio on Sunday mornings around 11:00 a.m. The service on the radio is from the previous Sunday.
Parish Three Lutheran Churches of Woden and Good Hope Lutheran of Titonka, no worship or Sunday Nov. 22nd.. A zoom service will be offered at 9 a.m. with a recording offered later in the morning on the church websites and TBC TV in Titonka.
Algona First Presbyterian Church as well the First Presbyterian Church in Irvington…..
have suspended all activities until further notice. There will be virtual worship service on Sunday mornings at 10AM and Wednesday at 6PM.
First Lutheran Church in Algona will not be holding in person services until further notice. You can watch the service online at http://www.firstalgona.org or on the First Lutheran Facebook Page.
Water’s Edge Nature Center and Maintenance Shop Offices at Smith Lake is closed to the public until further notice. IF you need to contact the Nature Center at 515-295-2138 and the Maintenance at 515-295-6080.
Fenton Public Library closed until further notice due to Covid 19.
At the Algona Family YMCA All group activities are cancelled until further notice. This includes youth volleyball, and swim team. The following activities will resume on Monday, November 23rd. land aerobics, water aerobics, and CrossFit classes.
Chips off the Old Block will not be having there annual auction in December, But if you would like to have the Chippers Make something for you for Christmas or to make a donation to the group. Kossuth County Farm Bureau are closing our office to the public due to rising Covid-19 cases in the county. Clients wishing to conduct business or set up an appointment please call or email the office.
Burt’s City Hall and Public Works Lobby’s are closed. Call to set up appointment at 515-924-3618.
The Algona Public Library will close to the public beginning Monday, November 23 and remain closed until December 7 at which time this decision will be revisited. Curbside pick up for books, dvds, kits, and copies remains available by completing the form on the APL website or calling 295-5476.
The Bancroft Library will close to walk in service on Monday, November 23rd but will be offering curbside pickup for books, dvd’s, audiobooks, and magazines by calling 515-885-2753 or email email@example.com. For further details on library access visit http://www.youseemore.com/NILC/Bancroft/
Security State Bank has implemented the following temporary procedures:
ALGONA: Both the Main Bank & State Street lobby locations are closed. The State Street Drive-up located at 801 E State St., Algona, Iowa, is open. Customers should use the drive-up window or night depository at both branches for deposits. For cash needs, customers may use the drive-up or the ATM at the main bank or the ATM inside the Chrome Truck Stop. If you need to come to the bank, please call us for an appointment at 515-295-9501.
BURT: The lobby in Burt is closed. Please use the night depository. If you need to come to the bank, please call us for an appointment at 515-924-3215.
LUVERNE: The lobby in LuVerne is closed. Please use the night depository. If you need to come to the bank, please call us for an appointment at 515-882-3277.
Iowa State Bank: all LOBBIES of Iowa State Bank will be available by appointment only. Contact your local Iowa State Bank Office to see a loan officer, personal banker or for special teller transactions or safe deposit box access. The State Street Office Drive-Up Lanes continue to be OPEN.
Northwest Bank Lobby is closed until further notice. Customers can sill call the bank at 515-295-7271 to make appointments to see and employee as needed. Drive up will remain open for normal business hours 8:30-5:30 PM Mon-Fri, Saturday 8:30-12 PM.
North Union Schools: Due to the recent proclamations provided to us by our Governor on November 16th, 2020, there will be no youth or middle school activities taking place in any of our district buildings until further notice
