–Algona Schools have released their protocols for spectators attending winter sports and activities. Superintendent Joe Carter tells KLGA News that the changes became necessary following the proclamation from Governor Kim Reynolds earlier this week.
Carter says the state decided who would be allowed to put people on the pass list.
The spectator restrictions apply to athletic events, along with any other school event. Carter says they are making these decisions now, knowing things could change more than once over the next few weeks.
While attendance is being limited, Carter says they will try and make sure nobody misses any event.
Those who are put on the list will still have to pay admission, unless they have an activity ticket. Also those in attendance will have to leave after their son/daughter’s event is over, for example a parent of a Girls Basketball player will not be able to stay and watch the Boys game.
