North Central Conference Preparing for Summer Sports Season

After Governor Kim Reynolds — along with the IHSAA and IGHSAU — on Wednesday gave Iowa schools the green light to play summer sports, schools and conferences across the state have been preparing in conjunction with each other in order to be ready for a June 1st practice start date.

North Central Conference Commissioner Greg Stewart tells KLGA Sports that the NCC knew June 1st was a possibility before Wednesday and had been preparing for the possibility for more than a week. Stewart also says the NCC will not draft a new summer sports schedule, but will rather begin the shortened 2020 season on June 15th with the original schedule.
