–The murder trial of a Lakota man has been pushed back once again and will now take place next year. Chad David Dietrick was scheduled to go on trial July 16th, but now it will be January before the case is presented to a jury.
According to the court records, Attorney’s for Dietrick asked for a continuance late last month, and that request has been granted.
Dietrick is accused of killing 38-year-old Krista Lynn Hesebeck following an argument in the early morning hours of March 3rd, 2018. Hesebeck’s death was ruled a homicide by the state medical examiner with the cause of death listed as sharp force injuries.
This is the 3rd time a trial date has been pushed back in this case. Originally Dietrick was set to go on trial in November of 2018, but that was pushed back to March of 2019 and then pushed again to July 16th.
The trial is now set to start on January 7th of 2020 in Kossuth County Court.
