Bacha Presented with Victim Service Award

–Algona Police Officer Mark Bacha was presented with the 2019 Law Enforcement Victim Services award during a ceremony at City Hall this afternoon. Peter Degen Jr., the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa, presented the award and highlighted just a few reasons why Bacha was selected.

Degen mentioned the presentation coincided National Crime Victims Rights week.

 

In accepting the award, Bacha thanked his colleagues for providing a place where everyone can succeed.

 

Bacha, who serves as the sex crimes investigator for the Algona PD, says the real heroes are the victims he works with who have the courage to come forward.

 

Police Chief Kendall Pals and Assistant County Attorney Stephanie Miller submitted Bacha’s name for the award.
